Ed Rhodes joined the Colander team in 2025, to run the Architects as Project Leaders course.
Ed is an architect with over 30 years in practice. He was a director at Metropolitan Workshop for 15 years, leading the practice’s financial and commercial management whilst also contributing as an architect to projects in London, Dublin and Bergen.
Prior to that he worked at MJP Architects, leading projects for a number of Oxbridge colleges. He was also the project architect on the shell and core new-build phase of the Redevelopment of Broadcasting House for the BBC.
For the majority of his career, Ed has worked in London but he has also studied and worked overseas. He is now a consultant working with a number of practices, helping them understand the business of architectural practice and how to work more effectively… leaving more time for design.
Ed is also a published illustrator and a longstanding contributor to a series of books by dashdot publications, aimed at architects and designers in the construction industry.
He has been a Part III Examiner at his alma mater Kingston University for several years.
Ed lives in Hertfordshire with his family and is a keen long distance runner.
