If you believe that business and design are stronger together, then this Masters course is for you. The Programme Director, Jeronimo van Schendel, explains why...
I am delighted to introduce you to the Master in Business for Architecture and Design course. This one-year blended programme is structured into two core modules business and entrepreneurship and two complementary modules innovation and leadership. Combined, they prepare creative professionals for a future that does not differentiate between business and design, nor between physical and digital, in which action, collaboration and cross-discipline is the rule. Students will be trained to identify opportunity, create added value and expand their role and their impact as designers, transcending the traditional boundaries of the built environment industry.
The four modules take place simultaneously to ensure a unique, holistic and practical learning experience. The MBArch combines online learning, face-to-face training in Madrid and Amsterdam, and a professional post-graduation trip to London. The Business of Design Lecture Series and the Venture Lab culminates with an entrepreneurship-focused thesis project.
All activities involve group and individual work, guided closely by faculty and expert mentors. The course includes four full-time residential weeks in Madrid and Amsterdam, combining classes, workshops, company presentations, visits and lectures. The final trip to London is a unique opportunity to network and discuss lessons learned with industry leaders.
